EARLY on in her career, Keeley Hawes landed the part of Lara Croft’s smouldering voice in the Tomb Raider video games.

Two decades and a string of hit shows later, the actress is back at the heart of the action-adventure franchise — this time for Prime Video’s TV series.
As my exclusive pictures from the set show, Keeley is taking on a very different role to that of fearless adventurer Lara, who is being played by Sophie Turner.
An observer said: “With her raincoat and M&S shopping bag, she appears to be playing a more motherly character in the series.
“Some were speculating that Keeley could be the mother of Lara Croft — Lady Amelia Croft, the Countess of Abbingdon. She certainly has a history of playing upper-class ladies in dramas including Summer Of Rockets and Upstairs Downstairs.”
Keeley is the latest big name to join the cast of Tomb Raider, which is expected to drop on the streaming service next year.
