Orphan Black: Echoes producer Boat Rocker has sold the sequel series to the BBC America cult favorite to a raft of global buyers, including ITV in the U.K. and NBCUniversal’s Syfy across Europe.

Orphan Black: Echoes, starring Krysten Ritter and Keeley Hawes, will explore scientific manipulation of human existence. The new series follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives on a journey where they must unravel the mystery of their identity and uncover a story of love and betrayal.

“We at ITV are so pleased to be able to offer Orphan Black: Echoes as an ITVX exclusive in coming months, providing our audiences with a thrilling voyage into the future with an incredible cast of characters,” ITV head of content acquisitions Sasha Breslau said in a statement.

AMC Networks earlier greenlit the follow-up series, which is set in the same fictional world as the Tatiana Maslany-starring, multi-character sci-fi drama that ran from 2013 to 2017. Echoes does not yet have a U.S. launch date. New global buyers for the Orphan Black continuation include Stan Entertainment in Australia, New Zealand’s TVNZ, NPO in The Netherlands, France’s OCS and NOW Studio in Hong Kong.

The 10-episode first season comes from writer and showrunner Anna Fishko (Pieces of Her) and Boat Rocker, whose Temple Street Productions produced the original series. Orphan Black co-creator John Fawcett is also on board as executive producer and director.

Boat Rocker manages the Orphan Black global franchise, including content distribution and consumer products.
